Born in July 1991, Thuso Mbedu came to notice in the South African teen drama Is'Thunzi, for which she was nominated for an International Emmy in both 2017 and 2018.
She went on to lead the Amazon series The Underground Railroad in 2021 and appeared in The Woman King in 2022.
